MEDICATION<\/span><\/strong><\/span> Even over the counter medications cannot be given at school without a medication authorization form completed. Download the appropriate form from this website under the \u201cforms\u201d section. EACH school year, new forms are required. See medication section for more detailed information.<\/span><\/span><\/p>


PARENT CONTACT<\/span><\/span><\/strong> A parent will be called to pick up a child for the following: <\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a8<\/span>\u00a0Fever <\/span>over 100.4 degrees<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a8<\/span>\u00a0Diarrhea <\/span>or <\/span>vomiting <\/span>in the past 24 hours<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a8<\/span>\u00a0Significant pain, <\/span>repeated complaints<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a8<\/span>\u00a0Unable to participate <\/span>in the normal routine and regular school day<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a8<\/span>\u00a0Anything <\/span>out of the ordinary<\/span><\/span><\/p>


FEVER<\/span><\/strong> If a child is sent home with a fever, they must be fever free without the aid of a fever reducing product such as Tylenol for 24 hours before they return. This means that they should not return the next day. The 24 hour period begins from the time they no longer have any fever.<\/span><\/p>

SERIOUS CONDITION<\/strong><\/span> If your child has any serious conditions, please alert the teacher\/clinic so we may work with you to keep your child healthy at school.<\/span><\/p>

LICE<\/strong> <\/span>Every student with or treated for lice\/nits must be cleared through the clinic to be readmitted to the classroom.<\/span><\/p>

SCREENING FOR TYPE 1 DIABETES<\/strong> <\/span>The lifelong autoimmune condition can be screened for with a test that can effectively identify those who will develop type 1 diabetes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

January 20 -21 2026<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

\u00a8 <\/span><\/span>All VPK, Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd grade students<\/strong> are screened for vision, hearing (and height\/ weight in some grades).\u00a0 A waiver will be sent home early in the year. Return if you\u00a0do not\u00a0<\/strong>want your child screened.\u00a0 Or use the link to the opt out form<\/p>

\u00a8 <\/span><\/span>Any student who has a specialized learning plan<\/strong> (504, IEP) will be screened at the start of their plan and when there are changes made to their plan.<\/p>

\u00a8 <\/span><\/span>If you receive a referral, follow the instructions, and return it to the clinic.<\/p>
